The Partnerships & Integrations team at Famous is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop secure and scalable APIs and integrations with 3rd party applications. The mission of the Partnerships & Integrations team is to increase the value our product offers to customers by integrating industry-leading 3rd party solutions for asset creation, content management, analytics, sales channel publishing, and more. This position requires hands-on experience with multiple integration solutions and architectures, integration and API engineering, cloud technologies, and data modeling. 

What you’ll do: 

• Regularly review and collaborate on the engineering strategy, in an open and inclusive manner.
• Acting as a “bar raiser” for engineering processes and thinking - you bring diverse experience to ensure engineering code and service ownership is always left better than it was found.
• Drive the API/Platform strategy in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment and drive bold high-impact decisions.
• Coordinating and communicating across various specialties and parts of the business to understand the impact and feasibility of strategic goals within the group
• Drive delivery of large-scale projects from ideation to completion within start-up time frames to develop new features and products - while also balancing technical debt and bug fixes.
• Perform deep-dive analysis to understand and solve technical problems
• Build products or tooling based on principles of reusability, security, scalability, and quality. 
• Collaborate and communicate with the broader Engineering and Product Teams.
• Embrace new technologies and work with various tools and technologies to achieve the desired functionality.
• Participate in code and architectural reviews.
• Hands-on design, development, and deployment of software solutions within the SaaS or eCommerce domain
• Leading by example and acting like an owner to deliver world-class engineering results with your team in a fast-paced innovation-focused environment
• Actively engage  in ongoing feedback sessions, initiatives to help drive a healthy code review culture, knowledge sharing, pairing, design showcases, and helping improve processes through retrospectives

What we’re looking for: 

• Strong software engineering fundamentals; be able to hold court with senior-level engineers and significantly contribute to design documentation and complex software architecture.
• 7+ years of deep hands-on experience with multiple integration solutions and architectures, integration and API engineering, cloud technologies, and data modeling. 
• Demonstrable track record of shipping and supporting high-performing and secure web applications and integrations. 
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to break down technical concepts and communicate them to an audience of varying technical expertise.
• Strong understanding of Web Services protocols such as REST, GraphQL, and API design for extensibility and portability.
• Hands-on cloud expertise (preferably AWS) with a strong understanding of SaaS models.
• Sound knowledge with authorization and authentication approaches like OAuth and SAML.
• Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications and security. 
• Comfortable and effective at negotiating tradeoffs between technical objectives and product objectives.
• You will be collaborative, curious, enjoy solving complex problems, and have empathy for the growing pains of a rapidly scaling startup.
