 Nathan James is looking for a Head of People Operations to help build, lead the people operations division and ensure our company’s culture is unshakable as we 4x our business over the next three years as a remote organization.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Head of people operations reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for building and executing the strategies that help solidify our core culture as the company grows. This includes providing recruiting, interviewing, and assisting in on-boarding services to all managers looking to fill vacant positions while maintaining compliance in every applicable country.

Additionally, overseeing the successful execution of the performance review process, working with management on compensation proposals, managing the company’s perks and benefit plans.

Above all, this role is a leadership coach, utilizing our operating principles and values as a base framework to support each team member in becoming more effective in their position, and helping them grow towards their personal goals and develop in their role. Head of people operations will lead and grow the people operations division, developing efficient internal/external mechanisms to simplify and modernize operations.

ABOUT YOU: 

We are looking for an empathetic, highly self-aware and intellectually curious candidate who loves everything about culture and coaching. You will have to build trust, so having high integrity, being a good communicator and an even better listener is critical. We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to address difficult topics and deliver radical candor when necessary. You possess deep knowledge of organizational behavior, are extremely organized and understand how to prioritize at a high level.

 

You have a minimum of six years of experience in a senior HR or related position, with a successful track record building or improving a company’s culture and hiring great talent. Since Nathan James is a remote company, at least two years of experience working remotely is required. Although a degree is not required, a bachelor's degree or higher in psychology is a benefit. 

 

You have a strong interest in overall business operations and are a big-picture thinker who is comfortable and effective working both at the strategic and tactical levels. Work experience outside of human resources is also a bonus but not a requirement.
