Contra is hiring a remote Senior Software Engineer to lead our test automation efforts; strong skills in Cypress, NodeJS, and TypeScript are a must. The ideal candidate for this role is an engineer with a QA background who is motivated to innovate the future of Cypress and automated testing at Contra, and help spread the QA mindset to the team. In a given day, you’ll quickly switch between debugging web applications with a frontend engineer, writing new Cypress test suites, working with other QA team members, diagnosing and fixing flaky tests, helping with product releases, and reporting on QA success to the rest of the team.

• Write Cypress tests, and help us improve and manage our existing automation suite
• Triage bugs and update automated tests to reflect regressions
• Mitigate against, and fix, flaky tests
