The Position:

We are looking for a Lead JavaScript Developer to act as a Technical Lead in a team that will operate with enhanced speed and agility, in a rapid build-measure-learn manner, within an organization specializing in product development, digital platform engineering, and digital and product design. This organization has become a renowned leader in helping customers digitally transform their businesses through a unique blend of world-class software engineering, design and consulting. This is not a pure coding role, but a Lead role for somebody who wants to go beyond. The right candidate must understand why Javascript was created and how it interacts with: different browsers, Angular, React, etc. The ideal candidate must have a client-facing personality and must be able to explain to non technical audiences how the technologies that they manage work.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

• Work and lead software development teams efficiently in a 100% remote-based role
• Working on an ongoing project in the Investment Domain
• Contributing hands on coding 70% of the time, while Leading more junior software developers
• Mentoring others to learn to take requirements from clients and share requirements with teams while providing best practices
• Compare design patterns and chose the best ones
• Interacting with other developers, quality control engineer(s) and other stakeholders to ensure solutions
• Creating and maintaining and detailed documentation of all systems, processes and contact information necessary related to migration work

Must-Have Requirements:

• 7+ years software development experience in JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript
• Strong engineering fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, dependency injection, testable code, and algorithms
• Familiarity with front end libraries like D3, as 90% of this role is Front End focused
• Experience with system components, web applications, and designing websites
• About 10% of the work is on the backend, so knowing server side languages and databases is an asset
• Must have built at least one application from scratch and experienced the full cycle of development
• Willing to conduct technical interviews (from Junior to Senior level)
• Able to implement SDLC phases and Agile methodologies
• Be organized, focus on teamwork, be open to share knowledge within their team, as well as with client teams
• The ideal candidate might enjoy leading Stand Up meetings, doing Tech talks and blogging, being a MeetUp speaker, and testing themselves via HackerRank tests -- not required, but nice-to-have
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
