We are seeking an experienced software engineer for a leading animal health company, in an advanced, modern development environment.

Preferring candidates with previous experience at FAANG-level companies. This role is for an EXTREMELY polished candidate capable of solving very complex problems and with a strong aptitude to software engineering (not just a coder).

This position is seeking someone who has good development experience in both Python and either Angular or React.

Required

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

•8+ years of experience developing commercial software

•Familiar with the software development lifecycle

•Excellent command of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and practices

•Excellent command of functional programming principles and practices

•Knowledge of and enthusiasm for Agile software development

•Experience with multi-tier and distributed (microservice) architectures

•Understanding of asynchronous (multi-threaded) programming

•Proficiency with Python 3.x

•Proficiency with front-end development using React and TypeScript

•Familiarity with SQL and data persistence using RDBMS

•Comfort working in Linux

•Experience writing unit and integration tests (understanding of BDD a plus)

•Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and dedication to continuous improvement in a team environment

•Proactive and self-motivated
