Overview

As Speechify expands, our AI team seeks a Senior Backend Engineer. This role is central to ensuring our infrastructure scales efficiently, optimizing key product flows, and constructing resilient end-to-end systems. If you are passionate about strategizing, enjoy high-paced environments, and are eager to take ownership of product decisions, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Ship Node.js services that make it easy for Speechify’s product teams to bring the full power of our AI Voices to their customers for a diverse range of use cases.
Deploy and operate the core ML inference workloads for our AI Voices serving pipeline.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

Experience shipping Node.js services written in Typescript (required)
Experience being responsible for the successful operation of a critical production service
Experience with public cloud environments, GCP preferred
Experience with Infrastructure such as Code, Docker, and containerized deployments.
Preferred: Experience deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
Preferred: Experience deploying ML models to production
